We were very sorry to hear about LaVonne's passing. Our prayers and blessings to her family.

Our most sincere and heartfelt condolences to the entire family, especially Lynn and Cindy of whom we have interacted with the most . We live in a rental property of LaVonne's right across the street from her home. She was such an amazing lady, full of energy. We would marvel at how youthful she seemed, and we would get a chuckle every time she fearlessly darted across Blairs Ferry to come visit. We enjoyed hearing her stories and how open and candid she was about life. She had such great wisdom and advice to share. We have lived in many rental homes in our day, but never have we had a landlord who sent us Christmas cards and shared a slice of their favorite pie with us as Lavonne did. She entrusted us with the care of her cats while she was out of the country, and shared the story of how she came to acquire each one of the cats. We feel so fortunate that we had the opportunity to spend a little time with LaVonne. The impact she made on our lives is huge. We pray that when we are her age we have half the spunk and zest for life that she did.

My deepest sympathy to Lavonne's family. I worked with Lavonne for seven years at Sears and I considered her a very dear friend. The last time I saw her was at the Riverside Casino and she said she would show me how to "play the slots". She was a Sweetheart and was a joy to be around. She will be missed by many.

I send my sympathy to the family on LaVonne's death. We were neighbors on B Ave. N.E. a lot of years ago. I enjoyed knowing her and having visits together when we lived there. We had a long phone visit at the time her husband died, but I don't think I have talked to her since. She was a fun person and a good neighbor.

Verle, Linda and families, We are so sorry for your loss. Vonne always had a smile. She and Gary's Aunt Vera, always found something to do or see. We appreciated her friendship. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and may God comfort you at this sad time. Sincerely, Gary and Jan

Linda, Lynn & Lonnie, I know I don't have to tell you how special your mom had always been - and it seems as tho I have known her forever! Now that I think about it, probably close to 55 yrs ago! She became my mom's very dear friend. When my mom spent so much time in & out of the hospital LaVonne was always there for us. She would bring us meals, stop by and clean the floors or dishes or whatever she saw that needed to be done. After all my sister was about 14 & me about 10 during that year of my mom's illness and eventual death...... I would see her at Sears and she ALWAYS knew me just like she had just seen me the day before altho it may have been several years...... would always ask me about my sister & brothers, later on all about my own family..... and of course with so much pride would update me on whatever the 3 of you were doing... LaVonne was a gem & very special lady that will be missed by all whoever met her!

Linda and family, so sorry to hear of your loss. Your mother was always so nice and friendly.

Our deepest sympathy to all the Hudson family. La Vonne was a great lady to know over the years. All of us at Oscar's will miss her funny and stubborn personality. God bless you all and may her memory be eternal.

I enjoyed working with LaVonne at Sears, many years ago. My condolences to the family.

My sincere condolences to LaVonne's family. I worked with her many years ago at Sears. She was a sweet, kind and funny lady. Always had a story to tell and a smile on her face.

My brother, Marc, and I have very fond memories of our Aunt LaVonne (and Uncle Bob). We loved visiting during our yearly summer stay in Iowa. We remember visiting Aunt LaVonne at Sears (truth be told, it was the only way my mom could get my dad near a mall!!) and being warned to stay away from the creek behind the house because of the snakes (I never saw a snake, so her words of warning were appreciated!) I enjoyed seeing her new antique "finds". My parents (Bob and my dad were brothers) shared many road trips with Uncle Bob & Aunt LaVonne both as young adults and once retired. We will miss you Aunt LaVonne, but find comfort knowing that you are no longer suffering and are reunited with loved ones.
