To the entire Van Slyke family and the rest of the extended family/friends, we are very sorry for your tragic loss. Our thoughts and hearts are with you. Let us build strength and healing knowing that Mark spent his last days not suffering, but doing what he loved most. Mark was a wonderful Father, friend, and family member. Life will not be the same without his physical presence, an instant void. The memories will remain in our thoughts and hearts. His voice and laugh will continue to play in our minds. He will be thought of and missed every time a project or camping is planned or the opportunity for a joke arises. The cabin that he planned for will be built in his honor. He was so skilled and a wealth of knowledge. He made everything look and sound so easy. We will treasure all that he did for us, with us, and taught us over the years. He was a dedicated hard worker that never let the struggles of life get in the way of his drive. No matter his situation, he would always make everyone around him smile and laugh. Anyone that knew Mark, knows his kids were his everything. May they find some comfort and strength in knowing that. We will all be here to provide love and support for them. Keep close. This loss reiterates just how unexpected life can be and how quickly it can change. We will forever remember, miss, and love him. May he rest in peace.

I am so sorry for the loss of Mark. I remember him fondly. My heart goes out to the entire family. Ed and Colleen, Hugs and prayers to you. Pam you know I am there if you need me. Hugs and Prayers my friend.
