Evelyn Fisher

Hello, My name is Ralph Toms and I had the privilege of working with Ev at Rapids Machinery Company during her entire employment there. I am so sorry for your loss and sorry that it's not possible for me to be with you on Saturday. Ev was a sweetheart all the time. Always a smile. Always willing to help in any way she could. Always professional but comfortable to be around. She was a good person and you just had to like her. My working relationship with her was special and she was one of the bright spots in the extended family I had at that company for many years. One year, Ev and I got roped into organizing and hosting one of the annual company Christmas parties. Not sure what my role was supposed to be but I remember that Ev made all the arrangements and did all the work. As somebody who worked in the shop, planning any kind of company social event really wasn't anything I was good at or ever wanted to do but it was impossible to say no when she asked for some help. Anyway, everybody survived. The last time I saw Ev was at the Marion Drug Town several years ago. We had a nice visit and a hug. It was good to see her and know she was well. I will always remember her with fondness and will be bringing her some flowers. Ralph Toms

A beautiful lady, her kindness radiated in her smiles and friendship. Jim and I loved her. The words are hard to come by as we say see ya later Evelyn, your smiles arein the bright stars, clear blue skies and beautiful waters we senjoy as our days on earth continue.
