Penny, I am so sorry to hear of your loss of your brother. My thoughts and prayers go to you and your family at this time of sorrow.

It was so sad to read about the passing of Mike. He was a gem of a fellow! I knew him through my association with the Cedar Rapids Community School District and he was such a great guy! My thoughts and prayers will be with the entire Allen Family. May God bless during these most difficult times. Randy Krejci in Cedar Rapids

We're all so sad to hear about Mike. There are so many fond memories of growing up together on Maple Dr. Hoping these and other special memories will bring you solace in the days to come. Deena and the Murdock family.

I was a teacher at Wash. Mike was a great Person; always very helpful and kind to me. So sorry for yourloss.

To Mike's family, you have our deepest sympathy for your loss. I knew Mike when he was in high school and when he was employed at Jefferson and Washington. Even played a little basketball with him. He will be missed. Les, Diane, and Joey Santee

To Mike's family: my sincere condolences for your loss. Mike and I worked together at CR Wash back in the 1990's. I remember that Mike was always hustling down the halls, and if I asked for help he always gave it with a smile. May your happy memories sustain you, and may God wrap you in His peace and comfort each time you miss Mike.

Sorry for your loss Penny & Pam.May GOD make every day easier for you both. God Bless

To ALL of the Allens I send my deepest,heart-felt condolences!!!! Mikey and I were GOOD friends all the way thru school and played at his house ALOT!! He used to tease me about having a crush on Becky and as I think back...I probably did! He and I stayed close friends thru Jr. High but kinda got lost in the shuffle in High school. I still remember he and Dad Bob trying to talk me out of quitting football(the best way to hurt my father i thought back then) and Mike would always catch me in the hall and bug me to come back.Loved Bob and Mike!! Then we caught up with each other working for the school Dist. I think Wash took its toll on Mike..seemed to age 2 yrs for every 1 year of work but never complained! I had asked him a few yrs. back if he was ok after he went to Madison and all hed say is "we need to turn these buildings over to the younsters!!"-) I will DEEPLY miss Mikey May God Bless you and yours during this tough time! You need anything...kpcarney55@yahoo.com,so send for me cause I know Mike would do the same! My Love Kevin P. Carney

I am very sad to hear the news of Mike's passing. He was a great buddy when we were growing up. We shared a common bond as coach's kids and spent a lot of time in the summers hanging out in Jefferson's athletic facilities. It is a shame to lose him at such a young age. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Allen family.

Mrs Allen and family, my heart is sad to hear of the passing of Mike. He was so young. May he rest in peace. Please know my heart and prayers are with all of you. My deepest sympathy, Judy Owen
