Though I never had the opportunity to meet your dad, Dick, I also know that he must have meant a lot to you. My sincere sympathy.

Gary and family - my deepest sympathy, Dick was such a wonderful person. I always looked forward to working with him at Ellis, and have many fond memories. He was a very kind and genuine man, I am so glad I had the honor of knowing him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

So very sorry for your loss. Dick was one of the very best men I have ever known. He taught me many important things working for him at the golf course and I am forever lucky to have met him.

Gary and Kathy--- It was with deep felt compassion that I learned of your Dads' journey on to be with Francis. I always liked your dad and held him in high regard. As you can imagine we have had reasons to think of him regularly. Be assured that Jesus Christ is his living Lord and Savior. God bless you and yours, in Christ, Pastor John.

I always enjoyed working with your Dad, Grandpa, at the ASCS office. He was a great man. We had many meetings and get togethers with friends from all over. There was never a dull moment when he was around. I know you will all miss him very much. He was a good friend.

Gary & Kathy, I have very fond memories of your Dad from when I worked at Ellis. The golfers and staff always looked forward to his tastey grilling. He truly was a pleasure and honor to know. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Pam

Gary and Family, My condolences on the loss of Dick. I remember him when I was a young man in the golf business I had a question and Dick took the time to tell me the answer. I always respected him and how professional he was. He lived a great life and God Bless him. Rick

I'm so sorry to read of Dick's passing. He was a great guy. I have many great memories of when I first moved to Cedar Rapids in 1976 and started playing golf at St. Andrews. I often came by myself and was made to feel really welcome, almost part of the family. I really miss those times. Every once in awhile I'd run into Dick somewhere. I'd remind him of who I was and he'd remember me. I'm glad he had a long and full life. Still it's hard. I'll be thinking of you all.

I'm so sorry for your loss of Richard. He was a very kind man. We will miss him at the activities at Northbrook. Kim Hogan

Dick & Barb, Gary & Kathy, and family, We send you our sympathy and love to all. He was such a gentle soul and great man. We have wonderful memories of those " special dinners" together with him and your family. Love , Lyle & Jane

Gary, Kathy & Family - We were so sorry to hear about your Dad. He was a wonderful person and always great to be around. I will always remember talking with him at the driving range so many years ago. Our deepest sympathies to your whole family.

Richard and Gary-I fondly remember your father. My Mom, Alice Pospisil, would take me to pinochle games with the card club when I visited from Oregon. Many times Dick was my partner. I, too, was born on March 30. My sincere sympathy to you and your families. Marie Pospisil Bustos

John and I have know your family for a long time. Your Mother and Father were both wonderful people and we will miss them both. Your Father was a special man, who put up with us at the golf course for a long time. We know he is off at this moment catching the biggest rainbow trout that there ever was. Our prayers are with you and all or your family.

Gary and Family, Very sad to hear of your father's passing. Thoughts go back to when we were kids, growing up on Council Street NE. Thinking of you. Mike Trachta

Richard and Gary - I extend my condolences with the death of your father. I remember him well from my pastorate at Ely when Richard was a member of the Confirmation Class of 1958. Peace be with you and your families.

Gary, Kathy & family – it was so sad to hear about Dick’s passing. I have so many fond memories working at the golf course for two summers in the late 70’s with you, Dick, Swampy and the rest of the gang. I’m sure he will truly be missed by everyone who got the pleasure of meeting him both on and off the golf course. My sympathies to all of you!

Dick and Gary, Jim and I were saddened to learn of your father's passing. He was such a nice man. I am sure you will miss him greatly. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Gary, My deepest sympathy. I enjoyed your Dads' company so many times. He was a great guy.

Gary and Kathy,, we were saddened to hear of your loss. Gary, we remember your dad working with you side-by-side at the golf courses where you have been. No matter how old your parent is, it still hurts. I know you will keep the stories going and therefore, keep his memory alive. Blessings to your family.
