Julie, Connie, Jodi... I just learned of the loss of your dad and was saddened. We had so many good times with your family at the shows... one of the best times of my life. I still have a picture of Andy winning B and B on the wall. I know how close you were and how much happiness you gave your dad and mom. Its hard to lose a parent but in time you will heal and remember the good times and smile. Your dad enjoyed life and had a smile for everyone... a lot of it because of you.

Jodi so sorry to hear about your dad, he was a man of few words to a skinny, black eyeglass wearing 6th grader that was smitten with his daughter but always made me feel like one of the family....may he rest in peace.

So sorry for your loss of a good, kind, and generous man. He was always good to me.

Rest in Peace, Skip

Sorry for the loss of your father, a great man! He set a high bar in our industry for those who wanted to be successful. He always had wisdom to share. He will certainly be missed by those who knew him.

Our deepest condolences to Skip's family and dear friends on the loss of a very good man. He instilled integrity and pride in a job well done, which became the foundation (no pun intended) for Mike to have a successful career in concrete construction. We were blessed to catch up with him & Jodi at the old Marion shop last summer. Skip you will be missed and never forgotten. Thank you for being a great mentor.

I and brothers, Denis, Tom & Darlle all worked and enjoyed the presence of Skip and his family. Prayers all around. HESED

Jodi and Scott and family, Mike and I want to express our sympathy for the loss of your father and mentor. Words cannot make anything feel better, only time. Our thoughts are with you and hope the pain will ease with memories. Take the time to celebrate his life. You are a reflection of him. Michael and Tracy Petrak and our families.

Thoughts are with all of you during this difficult time. Out of town so unable to attend services. So many great memories of Skip, He was such a kindhearted and generous man. I remember taking Skip on an adventure on the Mississippi River frog hunting at night - Captain Midnight fashion (no lights) . Think it gave Skip a bit of a scare but we DID catch frogs. He was a great man who will be missed but never forgotten.

Sorry for your loss. I remember Skip and company doing basements for my dad when he was building in the 60's in Hiawatha as well as my house when I had it built. Later got to know him from showing horses. Even later, he used to visit my mom after dad had passed. He liked getting the sheepshead mushrooms that grew around our oak trees. He would bring her eggs, as I recall, and chat with her. I thought that was very kind. I know he was a hard worker with a heart and he will be missed.

Julie, Connie and Jodi my sincere condolences to you all! The short time table did not allow me to be there, Im sorry!!! your dad was a friend and a partner with me, who taught me alot. Memories never forgotten and ALWAYS to be remembered.......there are so many. A kind and generous man who would do anything for everyone and especially you three girls who he dearly, dearly loved and cared for. My heart goes out to you.......Skipper, you will be missed!!!! Connie & "The Bernet Family" Our sincere condolences in the passing of your Dad. You must remember how he lived, worked and played. Those are the memories that will help you get through these tough days. I'm sure all you girls were "Daddy's little girl" at one time or another and that's the hard part but the best part of being a Daughter. He will be missed.

Shannon, Fran and family, Just want to tell you how very sorry I am for your loss. From experience, I know there are no words to take the pain away, but just wanted to let you know I was thinking of you. Let us know if you need anything.

Haley, I am saddened to hear about the loss of your grandfather, Skip. I hope the memories you made together comfort you at this difficult time. I'm especially thinking of your grandmother. I am praying for you and your family.

Julie, Connie and Jody, We are so very sorry we cannot be there with you and the family. Memories go far back, a frightened small little girl, starting school in Olin, your Father was so kind to me as we rode the bus together to school. And it continued, our friendship for many years with your parents, in his, and our early days on the beaches in Acapulco . Your Father was one "great guy". Our memories will last forever. Tom and Elaine Ferguson
