We shared our lives in C.R. , in the 1960's--our young, happy, adventurous years with Dorrance and Shirley. Always dear to our hearts, Dorrance was a kind, gentle soul--always ready with a warm hug. Our thoughts and prayers to Jane, Scott, Mark and families. Daphne and Dick Ottens

We will be unable to attend the Funeral services for your Dad because of an earlier commitment. His long journey is over. We sat near your Mom and Dad at Mass many weekends at All Saints and would usually share a few words about the past and upcoming week. They were a loving and happy couple. It was difficult for Shirley when Dorrance illness caused him to live at Hall-mar but she faithfully fed him lunch every day. I would chat with her at the hospital when our paths crossed. She said Dorrance always had a smile for everyone. I imagine there was a great celebration when Dorrance joined her in heaven. Mark,Scott and Jane, you have our sympathy. Laura and Jack Staudacher

It was with great sadness that I read of Dorrance's passing. He was a great guy as was his wife, Shirley. Well done Dorrance!

Janey, Scott, Mark and families: I have so many memories of your Dad going back to childhood. All of the gatherings with our parents over the years, seeing him at the pool, and watching him always serving in various ministries at All Saints over the years. I loved his laugh, sense of humor, and I was most impressed with how he handled his illness when he first learned of it. He was a gentle soul. Please accept my deep sympathy for your loss. Sending Love and Hugs, Nancy

I had the honor of sharing a birthdate with Dorrance. We called each other each year to wish each other birthday wishes. As July 5th approaches, I will remember Dorrance---may he rest in peace.
