Yvonne: We are sorry for your loss! He always had a sense of humor when coming into the store. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and the family. May God Be With You! Love, Marcia Prosser (Walmart cashier) and family

Dear Gary and Family - I'm sorry to read of the passing of your father, Dean. I remember that you lived on my paper route at the end of 13th Street SE. It's wonderful that your dad was a follower of Jesus. You can seek comfort knowing that your dad is now in the Nearer Presence of God. May your faith, and your fond memories of your dad, help to comfort you in your time of grief. -Andy Weaver, Washington High School, Class of 1973.

Dear Yvonne, Gary, Deana and Dennis: I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. Mr. La Kose was a very special man, a very good man and an incredibly hard worker. I have great memories being at your house and playing basketball on the concrete patio in the back yard and baseball at Arrowhead Park when I was young. I'll always remember when your Dad got home from work every day he'd pull out an empty case of Pepsi bottles out of his truck...I couldn't believe he could put all that away in a day! I'm so glad to know that Mr. La Kose was a believer in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. I pray that the peace of God and the comfort of the Holy Spirit will be with you all during this difficult time.

For many years we have had the privilege of having Dean and Vonnie as close neighbors. Dean was a hard worker, putting his best into everything he tackled whether it was restoring tractors, trucks, and cars, finishing concrete, or rebuilding a stone wall. He helped on many tasks expecting nothing in return. Dean, the neighborhood won't be the same. We'll miss you.

From my perspective, my Uncle Dean was the type of man who didn't do anything halfway. Regardless if it had to do with family, friends, work, or hobbies, if Uncle Dean decided to do something, he would always give it 100%. Many individuals and organizations benefited from, and enjoyed being part of his drive and determination, including myself. I will truly miss his good natured teasing, smile, and hand shake. God bless Uncle Dean and his entire family.

Our family loved Dean as family. Our children considered him a grandfather figure. Brittany was really close to Dean during the Passion Play. He was an amazing hard working man of God. He had a great sence of humor. When he was at Walmart working he always had to get a hug and heckle us. I will miss his heckles and hugs. Vonnie love you and praying for you and your family. Love from the Huffer's

Uncle Dean was such a great guy, always full of it, drinking his pepsi and filling his platter full of food at get togethers. He had such a powerful handshake and a hug you couldn't beat!! We are glad he is at peace and free of pain, but our hearts go out to Aunt Yvonne, Gary, Deana, Dennis and their families.
