Marilyn A. Miell, 90, of Marion, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at Bickford of Marion. Services will be held Saturday, June 18th at 2:00 PM at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids, with a visitation an hour prior.
Marilyn was born June 26, 1925 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Daughter of Mary and Henry Niemeier. She loved her childhood on 30th Street Drive spending time with her grandparents Joseph and Marie Haas who settled here from France.
She enjoyed family, gardening, traveling with El Kahir Shrine friends and always being outdoors.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Miell.
Survivors are her son Robert Miell and daughter June (Bob) Locke.
Her siblings Robert Niemeier, Marguerite (Bill) Andrews, and Ralph (Ruth) Niemeier.
