To all the Family Members of Walter Hilmer. Time passes us all by so quickly AND one day no time remains! To all of you....... I want you all to know that I remember Walter vividly from our Class of 1956 High School. Additionally the Class Reunions that he and I attended along with many others. We always had time and took time to communicate with each other. Many of you might not know that Walter started his participation in Football during 8th grade in 1951. I still have our 8th grade Football Team picture which was taken in the old Marion High Gym. It is displayed on the wall in our office. Walter is standing in his uniform, with his helmet in his grasp right next to John Fowler (8th grade Principal and Coach) at the time. I looked in our Class of 56 Senior year book and re-read a quote from Walter at that time. He was quoted as saying "Seen But Not Heard" The quote was incorrect, Walter was SEEN as well as being HEARD throughout his lifetime. Just ask his Family. Walter will be remembered as an excellent Father to his Sons and a excellent Father in law to his Daughter in law. Walter will be remembered by his Sister, Brother and as a Grandfather to his Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. God be with you Walter. We will meet again one day! You will be missed my friend........

Walter was a good friend. WE worked well in the church together, and he was a good father-in-law to my daughter. He was witty which always served us well. WE continue to feel the sorrow on his passing.

Ted, Laurie, Randy and all family- I have great memories of Saturday nights at Grandma Janie's house, full of people and laughter and story-telling. Your dad was such a kind and gentle soul. Sincere sympathy to you all. -Melissa
