Nettie Keilholtz, 92, of Manchester, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2016 at Good Neighbor Nursing Home after residing there for 5 years. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 10 AM at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories with visitation starting at 9:30 AM.
Nettie was born on June 22, 1924 in Dubuque, Iowa; the daughter of Ben and Myrtle (Engles) Beaman. Nettie married Forrest Keilholtz on December 30, 1940 in Manchester, Iowa. After retirement they wintered in Texas for ten years, until Forrest became ill.
She enjoyed baking for her family and friends and was very well known for her wonderful pies and cookies.
She was preceded in death by her husband, son Randy, brother Buck, sisters Venita, Velma, Gerry, parents, and grandson Sean.
Left to cherish Nettie’s memories are her children, Judy (Jim) Holub of Mt. Vernon, three sons, Jim (Carol) of Cody, WY, Dick (Edith) of Monticello, IA, Ron (Karen) Keilholtz of Marion, IA. 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Heartfelt thanks to everyone at Marietta’s Place and her final days with Above and Beyond Hospice.
