Mary Kay was an inspiration to me during meetings and events at St. Pius in Cedar Rapids. We also volunteered together with John at Green Square Meals. More recently, we brought communion to her at Keystone-Cedars. She had a good influence on my life, and will be missed as a part of our parish community. We are keeping your family in our thoughts and prayers.

I have some very good memories of your mom & it sadden me to hear about her death. May God bring your family his peace & guard your hearts and minds during this difficult time. I am thinking of you all.

Dear Anne, Jane, Phil & Ellen, I am sending my deepest sympathy to Anne, Jane, Phil and Ellen on the loss of your dearest mother and my life long friend, Mary Kay. I just had a long phone conversation with her on September 28, 2015 when I was visiting my mom in Cedar Rapids. We had a great time catching up on all the family news. She was so proud of all of you especially her grand children. I was your family's first babysitter on Benton Street. I also remember many years of babysitting on Clifton Street. I remember when my 1st child, Jennifer, was born. She was thrilled to see us and she enjoyed the fact that Jennifer was born on Ellen's birthday. Mary Kay was a kind and caring person and a wonderful and loving mom. I will miss and remember her always. Sincerely, Bette Jo
