My deepest sympathies go out to the Kleiman and Halstead families. Clara was a hard working and devoted woman in all aspects of her life, with the family she helped raise and the business she helped run. The Wall Family is keeping you in our thoughts.

Kathleen - we are thinking of you & your family. Although we didn't know your mom I'm sure she was an amazing woman. She'd have to be to raise such a wonderful daughter. We are sending you cosmic hugs filled with love, friendship and comfort. We love you and hope this message provides you a moment of joy during this time of sorrow. Love - Dawn, Stan & Sammy

Kleiman Family- My thoughts and prayers go out to you at this time. With Sympathy, Ken Hartmann

Tom and family. So sorry for your loss. Clara always ran a good business. It was a pleasure to work for you as those years

I have very fond memories of my aunt, Clara. While growing up, my family would drive to Cedar Rapids, from West Union, every year or two to visit the Tom and Clara Kleiman family. It was fun to visit them and play with first cousins, who were close in age to some of my siblings and I. I remember swimming in the pool in their back yard. Clara was always a very welcoming person and a gracious hostess. She helped me adjust to "city life" when I lived in Cedar Rapids in the summer of 1981, while completing an internship at Westdale Mall. As an adult, I continued to visit Tom and Clara whenever I was in the Cedar Rapids area. Remembering back, I realize from our conversations how much Clara valued family ties...with her own family, her family of origin, and the extended relatives. One of her ways to keep in touch was by writing letters. Once, she even sent a recipe to my mother (which I also have) for "Lazy Daisy Oatmeal Cake". As I reflect on her goodness and giftedness, I believe that Clara has been reunited in heaven with her parents and her brother (my father), George.
