Mr. McDowell-we are so sorry to learn of your wife's passing. David and I were the couple who delivered Meals on Wheels to you on alternating Wednesdays. All of a sudden you were no longer on our list and we are unaware how to contact you. Please know you are in our hearts and prayers. The two of you were always to kind to visit with. We will miss seeing both of your smiling faces. Take care and God's peace to you, our friend. Love, David and Victoria Wilson

So sorry to hear of Ruth's passing. We had some fun times years ago playing cards, her and I working at Petro Mart together and helping Ruth with the Camp Fire girls. Everyone always loved her pizzas both at Petro and at Casey's. She had to always tape the lid shut on any she made. I wish we had stayed in touch in recent years as her and Gordie were good friends of ours. Sending hugs and prayers to all of you. Sharon

After I got over the shock of Shelly's call about Aunt Ruth, I started to think about Mom and Ruth in that oh-so-nebulous-heavenly-environment -- if we can imagine it, they're there remembering the Nebraska days, the Dust Bowl, the move, the lunch buckets, life in very-rural Iowa, the 9-year differences in who they were and what they did. Neither one of them ever forgot a thing -- and that's a gift that made both of them so vibrant in their later years. We are all better people because they were our mothers...
