So sorry to hear of your loss. Our parents, Gladys and Doug Moranville, were great frends of Carole and Garrah Muret when we lived in Cedar Rapids so many years ago. My sister, Gretchen, and I remember your parents and your family fondly.

I first met Carole in 1948 at North Park Academy where we both went to high school. Since the teachers always assigned classroom seats alphabetically and she was Scherwat and I was Thurm. we wound up sitting next to each other (along with Nancy Rurhdanz (sp. ?) in many classes and became best friends (as did our mothers!). She's the one who gave me my nickname, "Lolly" (short for lollipop), as my real given name (Loretta) seemed so formal for a crazy teenager. ("Loretta Young", the movie star, was big in those days. ) To this day all my friends call me "Lolli", and I always say "Loretta pays the bills, but Lolli has the fun". Carole will be remembered for a very long time.

Carole was a good friend of our son, Tom King. Tom died eleven years ago at the age of 39. He graduated from Washington High School in 1982. He was a writer for 17 years with the Wall Street Journal and wrote about Hollywood. They had a mutual love for the arts/theater and newspapers. Friendships like these are precious. Don & June King

Carole was a lovely woman. I knew her through our Tri-Delta alumnae chapter. She was a very involved and active member. Our chapter has thrived through her loving care and concern. She held many offices through the years. She was our only active Illinois chapter member and was most proud of that. She will be missed. On behalf of our chapter please accept our condolences.

My thoughts and prayers to your whole family.
