Hello Goldsmith family, I've been meaning to get this written a while ago and thought I'd better get it done. My condolences to your family. I remember your Mother and Dad teaching a lot of Martelle people how to square dance for the Martelle Centennial which was 1972, a long time ago. Your mother was such a kind and gracious person. I also remember giving piano lessons, I think just Karlyn and teaching you to play the organ at church. Many pleasant memories. You should see what your old farmstead looks like now. We still have a Martelle address and life on the same farm . Susan Schmidt

In memory of my dear friend Hilda, I have happy memories of square dancing with my husband, made possible thanks to Richard and Hilda's teaching. Smiling, petite Hilda always 'sporting' her lovely home sewn square dance dresses. She had a big garden that she eagerly shared with her friends. She enjoyed our visits, eager to hear of news while petting her favorite kitty cat. I will miss her sweet Christmas card with the pictures. Love, Nola

My hart goes out to all of you. I have so many fond memories. Peggy and I playing of the farm. Richard, Hilda and I riding our bikes around the neighbor hood. All the pretty square dancing outfits. I still remember sitting on the porch hearing the faint "calling "of the square dance party's they had. My list could go on and on. I think of them often when I pass there place. It will always be the Goldsmith farm to me. Edith Bowers Lubben

To the family of Hilda Goldsmith Our sympathy and love in your earthly loss of your dear Hilda, but Heaven is Rejoicing! So many memories of square and round dancing with your parents. Our Ruthann remembers hanging out with Gayle while we danced, What lovely memories of great parents you all have. Loving thoughts and prayers. Mrs. Jim (Pat) Clapp and Ruthann

ELLIS AND I SEND OUR LOVE AND SINCERE CONDOLENCES TO EACH OF THE DEAR FAMILY OF HILDA AND RICHARD. THE GOLDSMITH FAMILY WAS SUCH AN IMPORTANT PART OF MARTELLE--LEADING THE WAY IN CHRISTIAN DEVOTION AND TRUE TRUE FRIENDSHIP TO ALL. HILDA WAS JUST THE SWEETEST AND KIND LADY ALWAYS DOING FOR OTHERS IN SUCH A GENEROUS AND CARING WAY. WE REMEMBER THE HAPPY DANCE INSTRUCTIONS ,THE DEDICATED CHURCH WORK., AND HER BEAUTIFUL HANDIWORK THAT WAS SHARED WITH MANY. WE KNOW HER LOVE FOR THE LORD HAS BEEN HER ANCHOR AND SHE IS NOW RESTING IN HIS EVERLASTING LOVE SURROUNDED BY ALL THOSE SHE SO LOVE. ELLIS &MARY CAROL

Our THOUGHTS and PRAYERS are with all of you. We have lost a good friend and will miss the Christmas Greetings for sure. We do have the lazy susan on the kitchen table that Richard made so we do always have the Goldsmith's in thoughts all the time. Kind of ironic because at our UMW ladies meeting last week we just went over the names of members we had several years ago and of course Hilda's name was brought up. Several are gone but we did have fun reminiscing the ladies still living. I might add you have been so fortunate to have had Hilda so many years. Almost 98 years what a Milestone.
