You guys were the best neighbors and we loved having you be such a big part of our lives. Edith was a truly beautiful lady both inside and out. She had such grace and love for everyone. She was such a blessing in our lives and the boys will never forget her orange dream bars!

Mike, I googled your name and found this site. I actually got the idea from Luann. Her ability to wrangle up information about people is kind of scary! Anyway, I just wanted you to know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in this trying time. Your students are missing you and keep asking how long you'll be gone. Luann and I are looking forward to your return as well. I want you to know that I am thinking of you and hope that you can find some peace in reflecting on all the good your mom had in your life. Take care and return to us safely. -Blair Allen

Bennie and Michael, Please accept our sincere condolences on the loss of Edith, (wife and mother). I can't believe how quick our lives change. I will be thinking of you both and keeping my prayers coming. Bennie, I'll still be sending you cards to let you know I'll be thinking of you. If you need anything don't hesitate to let me know. Blessings, Caryle-& Rog Cheryle

Bennie we were so sorry to hear about the passing of Aunt Edie. We were so blessed to have gotten to know her and doubly blessed because she became our "Aunt". We will always remember the wonderful times we had with her at Grandma June's and all the family events. We love you and pray the Lord will give you strength and support at this time. Love, Bruno, Kathy and Emily

Bennie and Michael, so sorry to learn of your loss of Edith. Bennie, I was trying to remember the last time I saw you both---I think at a holiday craft bazaar---when we had such a nice visit. And Mike, I remember well how much Edith supported us in our teaching careers at Norway High School. What a super mom, friend, and woman. You're in my thoughts and prayers. Trudy

Bennie: When the Lord calls a loved one home, he leaves a gift of memories in exchange, Please know how very sorry Lois and I are for your loss. Edith was a great lady, Lois and I enjoyed our times together. We will remember you and your son in our prayers.

Bennie, I was very sad to learn of Edith's passing. She was a great lady and I'm sure a perfect wife for you. I will stop and see you soon. Don't forget to take care of yourself and do your best to get some rest. My thoughts are with you, your son and the rest the family.Dick Lynch

Dear Bennie, We were sad to learn of Edith's passing and appreciated Jan's phone call to let us know. There were tears for all of you, knowing how precious a person Edith was in your lives and the lives of many. Her life will be remembered and appreciated by many. We will never forget her gracious gift of typing a long dissertation and how the four of us collated the pages together, nor will we forget the lovely visit at your Cedar Rapids home and sharing memories. You and your family are in our hearts and our prayers. Please know our thoughts are close with all of you. Rich and Elizabeth Pannier

It was very sad to learn of Edith's passing. She was a lady who loved gardening, making cookies and above all loved her family and her church. It was my pleasure to work with Ben for several years and become acquainted with his family. My thoughts and prayers are with Ben, Mike and Edith's brothers and sisters. Jean Ashford

I was sad to learn of Edith's passing this morning. It has always been a pleasure helping both of you in my store over the years. Bennie, please know that Edith, you and all your family will be in my prayers. Bob Holley
