Karen and family, I am so sorry to hear about Dennis passing. I am thinking of you with care, love, sympathy, prayers.

Dear Family, My what a beautiful tribute to a life well lived. Loved the music and especially admire Jessica for sharing intimate family memories. Your dad would be so proud and is probably smiling down on you today and saying "Good Job!" Thank you for sharing. God be with you in the days ahead.

Karen I was so sorry to learn of Dennis' passing. He was a great mentor to my youngest son, Brian, when we worked together at Big River Equipment in Burlington. He often took him to the home office on Saturdays and was a wonderful influence on his young life. I am sure he was a great father to his daughters. We are keeping you and your family in our prayers.

Karen and family, Dennis was for the last 20 plus years always more than a business associate. When I think of Iowa he always come to mind with a smile on my face. He will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are you, family, and those who had the privilege of knowing / working with Dennis.

Jessica, Sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. Lori Hennessey

Dear Karen, Jennifer, Jessica, and the Fenton & Porter families. Diane and I just learned of Dennis's passing and are deeply saddened! Our sincere and heartfelt condolences to you and every family member. So many great memories instantly came to mind from our days working at "The Model," a groomsman at our wedding, family visits at the Porter's when both of our families were in Burlington, and so many other fond memories. Although time and distance may have limited our direct contact, Dennis, Karen & family were, are, and always will remain very good friends. Karen, our prayer for you & families is that God will give you all His comfort and love during tomorrows service. Our thoguhts and prayers will be with you all. Dennis, Diane, Kim, and Karen Hassell

Dear Karen, Jennifer, Jessica and family. We send our deepest sympathy and condolences to all of you. Dennis was a great friend and will be sorely missed by all that knew him. We feel very fortunate to have spent a great weekend together just a few short weeks ago. Dennis was surrounded by friends and we all had a great time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Dave and Linda Schultz

We didn't know Dennis, but we sure know Ted and Julie. Ted and I taught together at Oak St. Middle School in Burlington for over 30 years, and have been very close friends for even longer than that. We have enjoyed many camping outings, and other family activities, especially when our kids were growing up. Ted and I have always been there for each other, during the good and bad times of our lives, as it will continue to be now. And now, Ted and family, we wish to extend our heartfelt condolences to all of you during this time of your loss. Elwin and Bonnie Kendell

Dear Karen and Jeanne, Fenton's and Porter's were very important to me and my family starting in the 1950's! We were neighbors and church friends and our parents were friends. When I visit in Burlington I have fond memories filled with fun and laughter. Thinking of you and your family. Much love...

Dear Karen and Family so sorry to hear of this, although we never seen much of you and Dennis we liked living next door to his Mom. We wish comfort during this time. Prayers out to you and Family. Gary and Val Duckstein

Dear Karen, Jennifer, Jessica, and Family, I'm so sorry to hear about Dennis and wish all of you comfort during this difficult time. It had been a while since I last saw Dennis but feel very lucky to have known him while growing up in Cedar Rapids. I remember when Jen and I had play dates growing up that he would take time to play cards and games with us like Spoons and kept us laughing with his humor. He was upbeat, cheerful, and the kind of person who genuinely cared for others. I was always happy to see and visit with him at church the last few years when I was in town and will miss him.

Dennis was the kind of person you wanted as a neighbor and as a friend. Dennis was an individual you could count on, and a person of high principles and character. He was good company and fun to be with. We are deeply saddened by his passing. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Karen, Jennifer, and Jessica, and the other members of his family. We will miss him, and will never forget him.

Dear Karen and Family, I was so thrilled to see Dennis in church last Sunday and then so saddened by his death. What joy that he could attend services so close to the time that God called him home. I rejoice that his pain is over, but grieve with you. A life well lived and lost too soon. We have to believe God knew what he was doing . His pain needed to be over. May God keep you all in his loving arms. Elaine Fox
