Judy, Many times I was Delmers' "assistant" driver on our trips to some great eating places. He was a joy to be with and made my life at Keystone very pleasant. He will be missed. My deepest sympathy to you and the family. Ed

Judy, On behalf of the Highland Ridge residents and staff, we send our sincerest condolences and were so sad to hear of Delmer's passing. He was always such a joy and a great addition to your musical programs. The room instantly became cheery when he was around and he will truly be missed. Please know you are in our thoughts and our prayers. Gods Blessings

Judy, I was so terribly shocked to hear about Delmer. I was so glad that we got to visit with you guys a couple of weeks ago. Dick had quadruple bypass surgery on the 16th. He had quite a few setbacks but is doing alright now. He got out of ICU yesterday and that was a big step. Now I just have to get him home! Please know that you and your family are in our thoughts. Good memories help too. Cindy and Dick Ehlen

Delmer holds a special place in my heart through Noelridge Christian and Keystone. Many laughs and good times shared at Keystone. Judy, you are a beautiful lady and my heart goes out to you in this time of loss. Delmer will be greatly missed by everyone he came in contact with. You never knew what was going to come from him when I saw him walking in the hallway or sitting at the desk at Keystone. He always had his arm out to hug someone or give them an "elbow" with a joke. The best part is I know he is in the loving arms of our Heavenly Father and I know I will see him again in heaven someday. God Bless you all.

I found a very special friend in Delmer and Judy. You both touched so many lives in the Keystones. I've lost too many friends lately. I shall always remember the bus trips we took. You and your family will be in my thoughts often in the coming days.

Dear Mehlert Family, We are so sorry for your loss. My mother Jean lives at Keystone and really loved Delmer. He was so kind and accommodating to her and all the residents there. Judy and family, please know you are very much in my thoughts and prayers at this time. I would run into Delmer in Cedar Rapids once in a while and he would always have a group of people around him and be smiling and laughing. It was always uplifting to visit with Delmer. What a character... he will be missed. I'll always remember that he and my mother 'shared' the same birth 'day'.

I am so sorry to hear of Delmar's passing. I remember when you two met and how happy you were when you were dating. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Dave Pam and I are so sorry for your loss. Delmer was so good to our Mom, Isabelle Hillis at Keystone. She loved to talk with him . We liked to tease him and he us. Dave and Delmer would talk golf and even after Mom moved Dave would see him on a golf course once in awhile. Judy, you and he made a good team and we all loved the music you would share. Judy, We extend our sincere sympathy to you and your entire family. As a "schoolgirl" I remember the intense rivalry between Keystone & Van Horne when Delmer played basketball. Always enjoyed his sense of humor. May the Lord be with all of you at this difficult time, Joyce & Dennis
