Norm was friend who tried to get me to be better. I can't believe he is gone, his little chuckle, his bright smile, He never seemed to be too ruffled. He really had great time working with Daniel on his home projects. During his Wichita visits he would talk of the grand kids and a stop for barbeque in KC, lamenting Cedar Rapids just couldn't keep a barbeque restaurant. “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”Isaiah 41:10

My sympathies and prayers to you in your time of loss. Norm was a wonderful man and it is a blessing to know he is with the Lord.

Teresa and Danny- I am sooo sorry to hear about Norm. You are in my prayers and thoughts.

Teresa & Family, I only spent a short time with you Monday evening at St. Lukes hospital. It was good to see you have some wonderful friends/neighbors. Please know that you & family are in my prayers for guidance, comfort, wisdom & peace during this difficult time. You have a family that loves you as well as big church family. My hope is that this helps you in the days ahead. Love is a strong thing, you'll be receiving allot of this. Also, keep those memories in your heart. Blessings, Rick Cohn - St Lukes on call Chaplin

Sympathy from Bruce and Margarita McGovern in rural Puebla, Mexico. I worked with Norman when he first started at Collins, must have been in 1972. At that time, I knew him well enough to know his some of his life history. And worked around him after he became a quality engineer. Margarita attended Northbrook Baptist church when he was there. But, since we retired in 1997 and left Iowa, we haven't seen him in quite a while. It is often said about a person that they never said a bad word about anyone. In my experience, that was absolutely true of Norman.

Janie, Tammy, and Danny: We were deeply saddened to hear of Norm's passing. He was a wonderful friend to our family and we enjoyed the times we spent with him and your family when we lived in Cedar Rapids. He made it very evident through his daily life and mannerisms that he was a true Christian. Our family will be praying for all of you during this great time of sorrow.
