Norman Nolen Brittingham, age 62, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, went to be with the Lord suddenly November 3, 2014.

Norm received a degree from United Electronics Institute in Louisville, KY, after which he hired into Rockwell Collins in 1972. Throughout the last 42 years he diligently worked at Rockwell Collins, primarily as a quality engineer and was highly regarded worldwide throughout the company.

He dedicated his life to his faith and family. A model husband, father, grandpa, and friend; he would drop anything and everything to help someone in need. Norm served in many capacities at Immanuel, Northbrook, and Community Baptist churches throughout the years. His relationship with Christ was evident in his actions and relationships with others. 
Norm, known as “Mr. Fix it”, he had an innate ability to repair almost anything. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, camping, boating, water skiing, tennis, and biking. 

Norm is survived by his wife, Teresa Brittingham; son, Daniel Brittingham; and daughter, Tammy Maassen. He also leaves behind his mother-in-law, Polly Blood; two grandsons, Joshua and Andrew Maassen; son-in-law, Matthew Maassen; and daughter-in-law, Corrie Brittingham. 

A memorial service celebrating Norm’s life will be held at 11:00 am Friday, November 7, 2014 at Immanuel Baptist Church in Cedar Rapids. A private Inurnment will be held at Cedar Memorial following the services.
