Memorial
Jon R. Jensen, 54, of Marion died Thursday November 27, 2014 at his home after a sudden illness. Services at 1:00 PM on Tuesday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Inurnment in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5 to 7 PM on Monday.
Survivor include his mother Loretta of Marion, a sister Joan (Gary) Dvorak of Vinton, and two brothers Jay (Lynn) of Cedar Rapids, Joel (Lori) of Franklin, Tennessee and a sister-in-law Jamie of DeKalb, Illinois. He is also survived by eleven nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Ralph, and a brother James.
Jon was born on December 16, 1959 in Cedar Rapid the son of Ralph and Loretta Jaeger Jensen. He graduated from Regis High School and later attended Kirkwood Community College. Jon was a test technician at Rockwell for over 17 years.
He was a founding member of the Green Castle Appreciation Society. He enjoyed camping, gardening, fishing, and astronomy. Jon was a loving son, brother and uncle whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him
