Logan, I feel comforted coming here as though I can talk to youl. I feel your presence so often and at times I sort of ask you to be near and without fail there is a peace and a sense of joy that fills me. I never would have believed this possible until experiencing it. You're energy lives on and on and I am blessed when I feel it in my heart and in my presence.
I try to make sense of this and I can't. I think a lot of us are struggling but we try to Live Like Logan and know you would not want the grieving to envelope us like this.
There was something about you I cannot put into words. You touched the lives of strangers. You are everyone's brother, son, nephew, grandson, best friend, neighbor...we all feel you belonged to us simply because you touched out hearts. We all lost something irreplaceable when you left us.
But you are soaring and fearless and entwined in all our lives. Someday we will be where you are and for me that day will one of celebration. In the meantime, I am doing my best to Live Like Logan but I sure do cry a lot. I surely do miss you and what an extraordinary youg man you are. You continue to be loved so dearly, dear Logan.

Candy, Mark, Hunter & family -- We have lived in western New York for the last six years. We were stunned when we realized it was your Logan in the news while we were in NE Iowa visiting relatives the week of July 4th. We wish we could have driven down to Cedar Rapids to attend the services to give you a hug, but we had plans to leave Iowa early on the 5th. I will remember Logan leading Nathan & Hunter running in circles around your living room listening to music when they were toddlers/preschoolers and daycare buddies. You have been and will continue to be in our thoughts. We are deeply sorry for your loss.

Logan was one of those truly special individuals that made you feel so happy when he gave you those warm hugs and flashed that amazing smile at you. No matter where he was or what he was doing, if he saw me, he would head towards me and greet me and hug me. He possessed a sweet, caring spirit that was well beyond what you would normally expect in a teenager. The world is losing a unique and wonderful young man but heaven is gaining his spectacular soul. I had the pleasure of meeting Logan last year when I sang at Marty and Steve's wedding. Because he coordinated the music, I got to "work" closely with him. I was impressed by his sweet spirit, his intellect, his humor, and his kind heart. All of these qualities were immediately evident to me and I remember thinking what a bright future he had. I am the mother of three sons and I cannot imagine the shock and grief you are feeling. I just wanted to be another voice to say what an impression Logan made on me personally and how glad I was to have known him even for a couple of days.
