Dear Carol and Shaun, Gary hired me in 1994 for the libraries. It was a great job and he was a wonderful boss. I held him in high regard. I was sad to hear that Gary passed away He was one in a million! He will be missed. I wish I had seen him one more time to thank him again for his wisdom about life! Rest in peace, Gary!

My deepest sympathy to Carol and family. I just learned of Gary's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time

My deepest sympathy to the entire family. Gary was one of those very special people we meet - I always called him my "Knight in Shining Armor". I started at the college in 1996 and the Dean told me the first day there's someone you have to get to know right away and that was Gary Feddern. He was my "go to" person and was a mentor like no other. He had such wisdom, such compassion, and truly understood people. He took great pride in Iowa Lakes Community College and loved helping students and staff. Whenever I see the Snow Village at Christmas Time - I think of Gary. He loved his family....he loved traditions.....he loved life. He will be dearly missed and may he rest in peace. My heart goes out to his family and may wonderful memories bring comfort and peace. As a tear rolls down my cheek, I send Carol & Shaun and family, my sympathy! Gary was my boss for a short time @ ILCC, but made such a huge impact on me personally and in my career! Gary was an amazing man with a huge heart! May God watch over you during this difficult time! Amy Mullen & family!

I was very saddened to hear this news. Gary was my boss at ILCC for about 15 yrs. when I first moved to Estherville back in 1983. He was not only a great boss, a great guy, but a great mentor for me. We had lots of laughs, experiences, and accomplished so much getting the college TV system off the ground, turning it into a showcase for other institutions to emulate. He had strong family values, and always spoke highly of his wife Carol, and was so proud of Shaun. He will be missed. My deepest sympathy and condolences to the family.

My deepest sympathy to Carol, Shaun, and family. I so enjoyed knowing Gary so many years ago at ILCC. He was such a nice guy with a great sense of humor! :)

Dick and I are sorry to hear about Gary's passing. We respected him as a colleague at IA Lakes Community College. May the memories of the good times you shared, give you peace.

My deepest sympathy goes out to you Carol, Shaun and all family members. I worked with Gary at Iowa Lakes and always smile when I remember his positive upbeat personality, his contagious laugh, and how you would open up your home at holiday time so we could all enjoy the wonderful holiday village that filled every room in your Estherville home. I have many good memories of Gary - especially how proud he was of his family. My hope is that God's peace rests with you all today.

I was Gary's office mate at the Estherville campus (1991) when I taught the radio-tv classes. My best memories of Gary were the times he would speak lovingly about Shaun and Carol; a devoted family man. I respect him for that commitment and his commitment to education. RIP Gary

My sincere sympathy goes out to Carol, Shaun, and all of Gary's family and friends. I worked with Gary at Iowa Lakes Community College and enjoyed every moment. Gary was missed when he retired. He was a fun co-worker. Keep all the wonderful memories close at hand.

So sorry to hear about Gary. Our sincere sympathy. Forrest and Cindy Meyer

Our thoughts and prayers are with Carol and the rest of the family. Gary, we missed you when you left Holly Lake Ranch in Texas, and we will miss you more now that you've left Iowa! We pray that God will grant Carol peace as she learns to adapt to her new reality.

Add the word sympathy to my condolence.

My very sincere to Carol and Shaun and Gary's brothers and sisters. Gary and I go way back to grade school at Polk and then on to high school at Franklin. We had some really great times when were in school. When they moved back to Iowa, we re-united our friendship. Gary was a great guy and went on to becoming a professor at a college. May you have as much fun in heaven and you did on earth. God's Blesssing's to Carol and family, Judy Tucker

Rest in peace Gary. Free from this world pain and suffering. We will miss him greatly. Our condolences to you Carol and Shaun. Our love and prayers go with you in this time of loss. Dave ahd christy
