I'm so sorry for your loss Dianne. I remember times we spent at your house in CR and how close the friendship of your
mom and mine was. I remember staying all night at your house by the cemetery and climbing over the fence. I remember your dad's big laugh and how I thought it was so neat he was a cop.
My thoughts are with you.
Love, Diane

To Denny and family:
Please accept our condolences on your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with all you at this difficult time. We hope that comfort and peace come to you. May God bless all of you.

Diane, My prayers go out to you and your entire family. I remember your Dad when he was my Rainbow Dad, he was so kind and I respected him a lot. I got to see him from time to time later when our boys became great friends. He was a great man and garnered much love and respect from all that knew him. He will be missed.

Diane and family. I hope good memories help you through sadness. All of us send our best to all of you.

I remember the Clifts well, although my memory has started to fade. Some of the family lived next door to my family on 18th Street. My condolences to the whole family.

Memories of Jer & Helen-
Going to the Elks Club in snow up to our knees,
Vacations in Tucson, Green Corn Tamales w/scrambled eggs-Yum!, Helen's Veggie Lasagna, Early morning coffee on the patio watching the sunrise over Mt. Lemon, Those were the days dear friends!
Our prayers are with you all,
Love,

Diane, John and family - We are sorry to hear of your loss.

My earliest memory of the Cedar Rapids Police was in the 50's, when Jerry Clift would come to my school for bicycle registration day. He brought his spinning tops INSERT INTO guestbook VALUES (the kind that work with a string wound around them and then toss while pulling back on the string). He would demonstrate and teach us how to do. Jerry's personality, and his tops, made the day a real highlight event to us, but I think he enjoyed it just as much. It was a great way to win the hearts of children.

I first met Jerry as a Captain. I was a member of the Cedar Rapids Police dept's Junior Police. He was a Role Model who I looked up to.
He served his Country and his City with pride!
May God have a special place for him to serve in Heaven.God Bless 10-42

I had the pleasure of knowing both Jerry and Helen through the office I was employed at.They were patients of ours.Jerry always had a smile on his face and greated us with the most respect, we loved seeing him come in, he was truly a gentleman. I am sad to see of his passing but he would not want us to feel sorry for him thats the kind of person he was.
He will be greatly missed

Diane & Denny: I cannot express in words how saddened I was to learn that my beloved Uncle Jerry had passed. I am sure he is in heaven sharing that warm broad smile and holding Auntie Helen again. You have my deepest sympathy - I am sure this loss is harder having lost mom so recently as well. I will not be able to attend services but you will be in my thoughts and prayers. Donna has asked that I express her condolences too. Hugging you with my heart. Colleen

Diane, Denny and Family Sorry to learn of your Dad's passing. So sad that we have lost yet another from the "Greatest Generation"
I remember your Dad as a young police officer visiting Hoover grade school. May your memories of your Parent's comfort your heart and make you smile through the tears.

To the family of Jerry Clift. Laurel and I want to extend our sympathy to Jerry's family. He was not only my Capt. when I went on the Dept. but over the years he was a good friend. He will be missed. Bud Byrne

Jerry Clift was a wonderful friend and person. My Dad Ray Kessell thought the world of him. He raised a wonderful family and I am so blessed to have had all of you in my life.
They are all together now in heaven and probably playing golf, cards or reminiscing about old times.
He will live in your hearts forever. May you find peace and comfort in the next few days. My prayers are with you all.
Love
Becky
