Loretta E. Mollenhauer, 90, of Marion, Iowa died Sunday, March 10, 2024, at Windmill Manor in Coralville, Iowa. A private family graveside service will be held at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include her children; Lee (Wanette) Mollenhauer of Solon, Iowa; Linda O’Brien of Marion, Iowa; and Richard (Becky) Mollenhauer of Waubeek, Iowa; nine grandchildren and many loving great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Dennis Mollenhauer, her husband, Ivan Mollenhauer; eight brothers, Lorenz, Ray, Ralph, Herbert, Pearl, Glenn, Earl, and Marion, and two sisters, Merle Dulin Johnson and Dorothy Dulin Scott.
Loretta was born September 11, 1933, in Vinton, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Edith (Imler) Dulin. She married Ivan Mollenhauer on June 28, 1952, at First Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Loretta worked at Collins Radio for 36 years. She enjoyed dancing, cooking, and tending to her flower beds. Most importantly, she loved spending time with family.
The family would like to thank all the staff from Mercy Hospital, Windmill Manor Care Center, and Dr. Matthew Fox, MD for their love, support and tender care given to Loretta.
