Earl Joseph Novak, 89, of Anamosa, IA, formerly of Lincoln, Nebraska, went peacefully Home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 28, 2024. 

A public visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, from 2-3 PM at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Graveside services with military rights will follow at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery-Garden of Serenity. A Celebration of Life will be held at the First Free Church in Lincoln, Nebraska on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 2 PM. He is survived by his daughter Nancy (Hugh) Holak; his three sons, Greg, Daniel (Michelle), and Mark (Lynette); grandchildren, Sgt. Anna (fiancé David Reaves) Holak, Jason (Charlotte), Melissa (Jay), and James; “Adopted” grandchildren, Spc. Caspian Richardson, Jess and Sami; great-grandchildren, Cameron and Baylee, step-grandchildren, Raylyn, Michael; a brother, Wes Novak, “brother” Jim Hardy, and many loving family members and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn, his parents, his five siblings, and a special loved cousin, Gladys Wakely.
