My condolences to one and all. I met Dee when joining the legal secretary's association a very long time ago. Dee was an incredible person and a matriarch in the Legal Secretary/Assistant field.  Dee was one of my mentors when I first began my career.  Although my work ethic was pretty much established, she cemented my outlook on what a true professional in this area should be. She was someone I admired and looked up to; and even though I could never fill her shoes I kept trying. She will be thoroughly missed.

Jennifer and Sarah - I am so sorry for the loss of your Grandma. I worked at Simmons Perrine and that is how I met Dee. That is also where I met the two of you. Your Grandma was so very proud of both of you and it was obvious she loved you with all her heart. Thoughts and prayers to both of you. Dee, thanks for being you. May you rest in peace after a life well spent.

I first met Dee when I attended a meeting of the Linn County Legal Secretaries in the mid 70s. My first impression of her was, that she was very welcoming, friendly, and funny. That impression never changed. We worked together at the SPAE law firm a couple of different times. It was easy to detect that she loved those granddaughters! Rest easy, my friend.

my deepest condolences Jimmy and sherri and family !! i loved my Aunt Dee deeply !! She was one of my hero's in life. so full of strength and dignity and alittle humor thrown in for good measure !! When i moved to CR, my parents asked her to watch over me.......what a job that must have been ! ha !! I was in awe of her, such grace she had. i will always always, carry her in my heart !! i love you Aunt Dee!!!

I met Dee through LSPI and she became a very dear friend. I always told her I wanted to grow up and be just like her. She was truly a class act. I will miss her friendship and our phone chats. To her family I offer my deepest condolences. She was truly one of a kind!!
