Dear Mike and family: I am sorry for your loss, and send my condolences and prayers.

My condolences to the Ilten family. I worked on projects with Jack decades ago and was always impressed his capabilities and positive attitude. In an industry where relationships are sometimes contentious, he was a pleasure to work with.

Dear Ruth and family, We are so very sorry to learn Jack has passed away. We have many wonderful memories of Jack as a happy, “can do” man who loved his family, his work and his community. I remember Jack serving on the initial board of the Cedar Rapids School District Foundation. He donated all the notebooks for our bylaws and procedures. He was a great, involved and dedicated volunteer for the community. We hope your faith, family, friends and good memories will sustain you at this time. Fondly, Julianne and Marty

Dear Tim and Family, and the rest of the Ilten Family... Please accept my condolences. Jack was a respected man in our community. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I recently told Tim that the first time I was at his house (think 7th grade) I saw Jack’s striped Marlin on the wall and told myself I had to have one some day. I thought of Jack and Tim the day I caught one. Anyway, may God Bless you all! Kind regards, Gregg
