Dad(Virgil Moser) and Chuck sold for Life Investors in the early days of the company. They were both very good salesmen yet genuinely cared about their clients who many times were also their friends. They won trips for their outstanding sales and shared several trips with wives and others Life Investors colleagues. Hunting and fishing trips were among their favorites. After both men retired from Life Investors, we saw less of Chuck. However, he and Ned were eating breakfast at Wapsi Bar & Grill several years ago when I was there with friends. We had a friendly visit and updated each other about Moser and Scheer families. Conversation and teasing were just part of the man Chuck was. He was not a man you could easily forget nor did he forget others. Our lives were more fun with Chuck around whether fishing, playing cards, or socializing. I do have lots of photos and an original Chuck Scheer/Life Investors yard stick if anyone is interested. I'm sure Ned would deliver or email me and we can figure out a meeting place. We keep Chuck and all who loved him in our thoughts and prayers. Alice Moser Smith and all the Moser family

Chuck was a great guy with a sense of humor. He was always tolerant of us kids hanging around his house. No matter what crazy behavior we exhibited. Turning his barn into a version of the Star Trek Enterprise comes to mind. I recall another time when us boys stayed at Chuck's cabin in the summer. Several of the boys thought they were wild Indians. So, they took off their clothes and ran around whooping and hollering in the middle of the night! Another time I recall Chuck presented us with an old fashioned ice-cream machine, with crank handle. We turned and turned. He would add ice and salt. Finally, when I thought I couldn't go on anymore, there was fresh ice-cream. It was so delicious I thought I was in heaven! Good times.

I was fortunate to know and work with Chuck on Pheasants Forever projects. Chuck was an outstanding conservationist. I enjoyed him sharing his knowledge and experiences. He will be greatly missed.

I met Chuck thru Pheasants Forever at the Inaugural meeting in 1982. Chuck was ardent conservationist and I was fortunate to work with him on many PF projects. Chuck introduced me to Van Buren County. Great experiences with him Deer and Turkey hunting in Van Buren County and Pheasant Hunting in South Dakota. A kind and caring man, who never met a stranger. The world is a better place for having had Chuck in it. He truly will be missed!

Thinking of your family and remembering your dad's gentleness and letting girl's have fun with the horses and overnights. Tell your mom I still have peach- blueberry pie on my birthday great memories at there home!
