Dale H. Sills, 79, of Pharr, TX, formerly of Cedar Rapids, passed away of a heart attack on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Rio Grande Regional Hospital. A visitation will be on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 from 4-7pm at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories Stateroom. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 3 PM at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories.
Dale was born on August 11, 1938 in Marion; the son of Richard R. and Betty C. (Simonsen) Sills. After graduating high school, he served in the Navy. He married Laurel Burgess on November 23, 1963. Dale worked at Western Fraternal Life Association for over 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Left to cherish Dale’s memories are his wife, Laurel Sills of Pharr, Tx; four children, Linda, Linette, Sheryl and Michael; five grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; and four siblings, Shirley, Karen, Dick and Bob.
In lieu of flowers, memorials will be directed to the family in memory of Dale.
