Caroline, 'Craig' to all of us close relatives and business associates, shared a birthday with me, her nephew, Geraldine's son. Through the years we always hit it off and had many fine family get-togethers with a houseful of relatives or just a few chatting over coffee.
My best memories are the creative years when Craig worked at Armstrong's, she would bring out the copy and a bucket full of ideas to WMT-TV to produce a TV commercial where I worked in the Production Dept. When the weekly schedule was posted I asked to work on her spots and in my last few years there helped produce and then direct her spots. One time we used the old roll-top desk from the 'Dr. Max Show' as a prop for a back-to-school spot. She wasn't happy with any of the lighting we came up with and got so frustrated with herself and me that she finally just said "...crap, just turn off half the lights and we'll shoot it in half the dark!" Well, after we all looked at each other and burst out laughing at what she had said, we tried it and it worked perfectly!
I'll miss her, she was a special part of my life, wish I had set and chatted more with her.
