Fran and family..W e are so sorry for loss. I so enjoyed the moments spent with both of you. EIther just in the driveway or at our weekend get togethers. Talking with Chuck about the service or visiting with You F ran about the farm.. Couldn't get any better.. I especially liked how you met.. We could not be with you for his service but our hearts were there. Will visit with you soon.. Bob

Well - since I knew you when I have to say - Dear Jo Ellen, Barb, Becky and Ward - and your families --- I have been so buy at work that I had not read the obituaries for several days. So I was startled by your dad's picture and so disappointed that I did not see this sooner so I could have come to the services today. I am so sorry at your loss. Your dad was one of the last of that special IWC group. I believe that "Gweet" Vandigriff is still living in Ft. Dodge but I think the rest are gone. What a special bond they had - linked by IWC, AXD and PDT those ties were strengthened by that stresses of the War. I think the war years made the friendships all the more important to them. It was a privilege and a joy to get to know all the people so important to my folks! I rarely saw your dad one your mom was gone, though we lived in the same town. But mutual friends would mention him and Frances from time to time. When I did see him he always had a twinkle in his eye. I remember how very much it meant to Dad when Chuck came to my sister's funeral. Most of the people there were Melinda's friend or ours, and when your dad came in - well I can't really describe the look on Dad's face --- there were tears in his eyes. Again, you are in my thoughts and prayers. There is a sadness, but oh, what a reunion I going on in heaven!!!!! Lovingly, Chris
