I have many fond memories of my summer visits to Iowa. There are two I would like to share. Aunt Ginger and Uncle Ray had us over each year for dinner and exploring the farm. When they served watermelon they cut huge wedges for each of us. I was thrilled and to this day think of them when I eat watermelon. Later, when I visited with my own children, Ginger gave them jars for catching fireflies. It was fun! Ginger will be missed. She worked hard, loved well and was very generous.

I became acquainted with Ginger at times when I served as Red Cap driver for Meth-wick. She came back each Tues. and Fri. to Deer Ridge to serve as greeter at the desk. I transported her numerous times, and really appreciated getting to know her through our visits. She was a wonderful person and I enjoyed her very much. She was born the same year as I. Her death was a real shock, but when He calls you home this would be my choice of way to go. She truly reached out in love as we are called to do. My condolences to all the family. We will miss her very much.

My sister is Arlene Madill; her best friend at MethWick where they both lived was Ginger. She became a special and important friend of all of our family.
Grandchildren, daughters, son in law and both of us ----- loved her dearly.
Christmas will not be the same without her!! She was wise - thoughtful - caring - kind - generous - upbeat - and so much more!

Some people you lose track of but never forget. Ray and Ginger are two of those in my life. In the 1970's and 1980's, before GPS and all of today's technology, they surveyed a great many parcels of land we had sold at Public Auction ...... one in particular we'd often later discuss was in the month of January with snow knee (to waist) deep trudging and taking nearly all day when in good weather it would have taken only a few hours! They were always prompt and pleasant and great people. My condolences and prayers to the family.
