Steve: Your mom had a heart of gold. She tolerated our frequent teenage episodes of unrestrained fun with a smile, always happy. My condolences.

Very sorry to hear this. She was my 3rd grade teacher (they had a 2nd/3rd combination class that year). She had a lasting effect on me. From teaching me cursive to being a sweet and sensitive soul who was free with hugs when I needed them most, she was one I will never forget. Rest In Peace, Ms. Tucker.

Steve & Jim and Families - Your mom was a great lady -- one of the best! I echo what Dave said that your mom made us all feel welcome and comfortable whenever we were at your house...I will never forget that. Due to her faith in Jesus, she is now in the Nearer Presence of God, and one day, as God promises, you will all be reunited again! I pray that you will seek the comfort of God's love in order to get through this most difficult time of sorrow. God Bless Marilyn Tucker. Sincerely, Anj

Steve, Ellen, Jim and families, I have very fond memories of Marilyn and her kindness and graciousness. She was kinder to me than I probably deserved, and it was appreciated then . . . and now. A very special person. My sympathies to you all.

Steve – So sorry to hear this. I have nothing but good memories of your mom as she made your home a very welcoming place during our high school days.

Marilyn was my cooperating teacher when I student taught at Johnson. I learned a lot from her and we had many fun times in the classroom. Even after I was done, we continued to be friends. It saddens me to see that she has passed, but I know that she lived a full life! My sympathy to your family.

As a parent of two of the many students she taught, helped and inspired through the years I want to say thanks once again to the incomparable Ms. Tucker. It was fun to volunteer in her classroom. She was one of the unforgettable people in our lives. One of thr best.

My sympathy goes out to your families. I have known Marilyn for over Forty years. We have played Bridge, road the train, visited Washington DC, attended Orchestra Iowa , had dinner parties, and went to each other’s homes to visit. I will miss her very much. When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure.
