Emmarilla Sparks, 85 of Cedar Rapids passed away peacefully on Sunday January 1, 2017 at Living Center West. Services at 10:00 AM on Tuesday at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Entombment at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include four sons, David (Ginny) of Clark, Missouri, Darrell (Nancy), Danny (Jennifer), and Dwayne ( Kim) all of Cedar Rapids. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter Deanna Mannen, 2 sisters and 4 brothers.
Emmarilla was born on January 3, 1931 in Vinton, the daughter of James and Minnie Ferguson Jones. She married Abner “A.J.” Sparks on June 21, 1958 on Vinton. A.J. passed away in 1991.
Emmarilla was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her. Memorial donations may be given to the Activity Department at Living Center West.
