John R. Flaherty to officiate. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial with military honors will follow the service at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Martin Francis Osier was born on September 1, 1943 to Gilbert and Bethel (Lines) Osier in his grandmother’s home near Marble Rock, Iowa.  Marty graduated from Charles City High School in 1961.  He proudly served in the US Navy for 4 ½ years.  After his time in the service, he met the love of his life, Donna Galant.  They were united in marriage on June 10, 1967 in Charles City.

Marty worked at Rockwell Collins for 45 years.  His grandchildren were his joy.  Marty loved bowling, fishing, and cheering for the Hawkeyes.  Go Hawks!

He will be forever remembered as a man of few words, a true farm boy at heart, and “Mr. Fix It”.  Marty was a devoted husband, father, grandfather (Papa), and helpful neighbor and friend.

Marty is survived by his wife of 49 years, Donna; children, Christopher Osier of Iowa City; Alisa (Jami) Guthrie of Naperville, IL; Carmen (Gregg) Endicott; and Susie (Travis) Luchtenburg both of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Jake and Emma Guthrie of Naperville, IL; Johnathon and Joseph Endicott; and Alice Luchtenburg all of Cedar Rapids.  Also survived by sisters, Jeanette Ruegnitz of Waukon and Nancy Richard of Aredale.
