Bruce, sorry I'm late! Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil... For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen. I miss you! Scott

Mrs. Stanley and Barb, while Bruce was just old enough that I didn't get to know him very well, I do remember a quick wit and easy smile. Prayers to you and your family. I am also hoping I can see you two when I come down to St. Louis. Our daughter just started the doctoral Occupational Program at Washington University so we will be making some trips to your way. I hope you can send me an email on how to contact you. clarksmith4@mchsi.com. Love and prayers to you all.

So sorry to hear of Bruce's passing....what a talented musician and what a great sense of humor. I also remember him being a talented speaker in our individual and large group speech team events. Also, please give Barb my condolences and let her know I now teach at the high school that we attended and made such good memories.

i can't imagine a world without bruce.....we met over twenty years ago at 16th ave. music and we immediately had our cats in common....we both loved them.....he was a wonderful person, caring, gentle, so good to our son, cooper, who came for guitar lessons every saturday morning.....we stayed friends after the store closed and he moved on to seigel's.....there are no words to say how much i will miss him.....he was one of the kindest people i have ever known.....he leaves a huge hole in my heart....

It was a real shock to hear that the original "Cousin Brucie" (my favorite cousin) had passed. I was only talking with him a few weeks ago trying once again to buy his Gibson FJN. Naturally he declined to sell it again ; he did love his guitars. I am proud of the fact that I got him interested in playing waaay back when. He went on to become a very accomplished player while I haven't learned anything new since then... Since I moved to Tennessee we hadn't seen each other often enough but it was always a treat when we did get together and he would always have a new axe to show me and, maybe, treat me to a little bit of slide bar. He will be missed and my condolences go out to Aunt Mary and Cousin Barbara who I don't see often enough either...

Bruce was someone who helped to make our lives and our children's lives better. I have the best memories of talking to him on Saturday mornings at 16th Avenue Music while my children were getting their guitar lessons. He was such a sweet, caring guy who loved music more than anyone I have ever met. Those Saturday mornings were the best! Thanks to him, my son is a musician for life. We will always miss you Bruce, you are in our hearts forever. Craig & Kathy

Bruce was a great guy and will be dearly missed. Rest in peace, bro!!

Bruce was a great guy and will be dearly missed. Rest in peace, bro! ??????????

My sincere condolences to Bruce's extended family ... Bruce rented from me for over 27 years and he was absolutely the best renter a landlord could ask for. Almost pleasant to work with and really enjoyed the conversations we had over the years. He could never tell me how many CD's he owned but I think it was close to 15 guitars. RIP friend.

So sorry and sad to read this sad news. I will always remember Bruce in school with that huge smile and those drums. My prayers are with you.

So sorry to hear this sad news. Bruce is/was a great, talented, knowledgeable, friendly guy. My sincere condolences to all family and friends. RIP

I will always cherish the days I worked side by side with Bruce at Omni & Relics Records in the early 90's. It was an honor to be submerged in the music culture with him during that great era in time. We saw so many concerts and learned about so much music. His quick wit, amazing hacky sack abilities, as well as his guitar and drum prowess will be missed. I'm sure he has joined the great gig in the sky with his idol, Stevie Ray Vaughn. Rest In Peace Brother>

Bruce was always there for me as a friend for me and always made you laugh. never forget drumming with him in school. My you rest in peace Bruce and will see you when its my time to join you.

Bruce was very notorious for selling me a couple guitars, some cymbals, a guitar amp and many many Cds that I bought from Relics, and Siegals. I'll miss chatting with him on music and bands and seeing him around town. RIP to one of the best.

Bruce played drums with me in what was the first punk rock band in Iowa (Johnny S**t and the Fatboys) while at Coe College and he could really bang the skins! I'm shocked to hear of his passing and know that he will be missed in a world where there's always a need for someone that can keep rock solid time!

Bruce was a special friend when we were in college together. I know he will be sorely missed.

I'll never forget Bruce. He was one of the first musicians I met when I got to Coe College in Cedar Rapids in the fall of '78. He was playing drums in the jazz band, and he was always such a nice guy that could always crack me up. We had a lot of fun over the years, including a trip to the Iowa Jam in Ames one summer to see .38 Special, Molly Hatchet, Journey, and TOTO. He was a talented guy and was dearly loved by all of us in the music crowd at Coe. R.I.P., brother.

I am shocked at Bruce's passing. I knew Bruce for many years and I have to agree with everyone. Bruce was always kind and extremely talented. Also his sense of humor was second to none. I will miss him dearly.

Bruce was kind hearted and sweet. I will miss seeing him at live music events and Sunday football get togethers. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
