Cheryl (Cheri) Ann Tellin, 67, of Cedar Rapids, passed away suddenly Monday, May 09, 2016 at her home. Funeral Service: 11:00 am Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Certified Celebrant will be Jim Parton. A visitation will be held from 4-8 pm Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Cheri was born April 26, 1949, the daughter of Lawrence and Evelyn (Mikesell) Weitenhagen in Waterloo. She worked as a house keeper for St. Luke’s Hospital for many years.
Survivors include her two children, Chad (Karen) Tellin of Cedar Rapids, Michelle (Casey) Hewitt of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren, Caitlon, Nathan, Jacob, Tyler, and Morgan; Brother Mike (Nancy) Weitenhagen of Des Moines; niece, Sara (Brad) Deich; grand-niece, Elyse Deich and special friend Loran Lain. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Cheri’s world revolved around her grandchildren, they were her world. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed dearly by those closest to her.
