Dear Earl and family: Just read the 1st CRC of Sioux Center e-mail and discovered Betty has entered glory. Our deepest sympathy to all of you.We remember Betty and you,Earl,as part of the Classis Pella Prayer Co-ordinators when we were part of Classis Pella. We're living in Hospers,IA and serving the CRC here(yes,I came "out of retirement")now for almost four years.God bless and comfort you by His Word and Holy Spirit. Yours in Christ-Marv and Martha Leese

Dear Uncle Earl and family, I want to share Mairead's and my sympathy at the loss of Aunt Betty. She had such a forthright, open manner of being that made it easy to know where she stood. She had the positive traits of both Oney and Katie. May God grant you all peace and comfort at this time of loss. Love, Carroll Arkema Mairead Stack

Randy and I want to convey to all of you our sympathy with Aunt Betty's passing! I first met Aunt Betty when she and Uncle Earl came to officiate at our wedding! She was such a spicey lady and I always got a kick out of her! We feel only joy for her, but we pray for the Lord's comfort as you grieve!

Mom, you have touched our hearts very deeply over the years. Your love for life, your care for so many others, your love for children and your desire to tell them about God's love for them have all been great examples to follow. Your mentoring a young 19-year-old bride in how to make bread, macrame and other projects - all of which helped me to grow in my abilities to do things. Thank you for raising Rich to be a God-fearing young man who has been a great husband, father and Bumpa. You have blessed our lives abundantly. ~ One of God's Kids

In the next day or two my Grandma Betty's obituary will be published. What it won't tell are all the amazing memories she left behind. How she made forts with us and sat in the street splashing in the rain with us. How she made excellent food and shared her home with so many people. It won't say how creative and innovative she was or how she thought quilting is silly because who wants to cut fabric apart just to sew it back together again! But knowing I've inherited those memories, along with her tough dry skin and her enduring faith in Jesus, will help get me through the coming days. I miss you like crazy Gram.
