Sad to hear another of the 25th Avenue gang leaving us. So many fond memories. I feel blest to have grown up in this time, and this neighborhood. With so many great friends. I recall a time in seventh grade when Jim and I both fainted in health class, when they showed us a film showing images of Venereal diseases. And in the nurses office he showed me how to hold the thermometer up to the light bulb to mimic a fever, so we could go home. Good times. My condolences to the whole family, as you celebrate a life well lived, as the passing of your mother.

Deepest sympathies for your loss.

Hi Cathy, I was so sorry to read of your mothers passing. My mom too, was the last of her generation. I remember you fondly from St. Lud's walking home from school days. She sounds like a beautiful person. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you.

John,Denise and family. I'm sadden to hear of your mother passing. My thoughts and prayer are with you during this difficult time.

I have such fond memories of Ruthie. . . . I knew her as a resident at Crestview in the Memory Care Unit. She was a vital part of the circle of ladies that my mother Mary was also part of. They all sat together at meals and chatted away. She would thrill at the beautiful pictures of flower and gardens in magazines and whenever we would sing as a group, Ruthie would keep us all on track with the words and melody. She kept us smiling and I smile every time I think of her. Ruthie was such a blessing and will be dearly missed.

Ruth and her family will be remembered in my prayers.

My sincere sympathies to your family. I met Ruthie at Crestview Nursing facility while my mother was there in 2014. Mom and Ruthie became friends there and my sister Kathy and I enjoyed spending time with her as well. Ruthie had a beautiful singing voice and she especially enjoyed it when we had treats, played games together and gave her, Mom and the other ladies on the Memory Care Unit a hand massage, manicure, etc. I think of her often and am glad my Mom had her as a friend in her final year (Mom passed away in Dec 2014). She is missed.
