May Lorrie and family and friends find comfort in the promise of a universal resurrection through our Savior Jesus Christ. And the blessing that families can be together through Heavenly Father's plan of happiness. Your mother, Bettie, was such an example of dignity as we saw her at Hallmar. Alice Akers daughter and son-in-law, Bob and Dianne Graham.

Lorrie and family. My prayers and thoughts are with you all. I so enjoyed knowing your mother. She was a neat lady.

My sympathy and prayers are with your family on the loss of Betty in your lives....She was a spiritual model of "life" for all of us!

Lorrie and family - my thoughts, prayers and sympathies on the loss of your mother. I know how close you were. Losing a parent is losing part of us, but the memories of what a great and generous person she was will always be there. I remember her so well doing newsletters at St. E's. She was always eager to help and with a smile. A class act.

Although we didn't know her personally, we feel that we knew her well. Bettie and Lorrie were so caring and kind when we bought her condo. Lorrie shared a note with us from Bettie about how glad she was that we were going to "take care" of her home. We feel her kindness every day, and hope we can carry on her kindness to others.

We lived in Crystal Estates knowing Bettie since 1995. My favorite memory of Bettie is an example of her kindness and compassion for others. For many years we had a neighborhood bridge club. We met monthly going from one home to another in rotation. One of the members became quite incapacitated when trying to get into homes with her wheelchair. But, she really wanted to keep playing cards with the group. Bettie came to her table and said that since her home and that of the woman in the wheel chair were the only two units in the neighborhood that were handicap accessible why didn't they alternate hosting every other month. The other woman's face lit up. In response I suggested the rest of us take turns furnishing the dessert. Everyone was happy and the group continued for another two years or more. Bettie was kind and a real problem solver.
