Both Jeff and Lisa loved Mrs. Pratt. I had the honor of knowing her and working with at Linn-Mar. Family members should be proud of her great work.

Judy was a one of a kind. I had the honor of teaching closely with her at Novak and the Intermediate. I watched as she loved on her students, believed in them when they didn't believe in themselves, and made them reach goals they didn't know they had. An amazing lady with an infectious, mischievious side. But the most important aspect was her faith in God, her desire to serve her Savior. And she is now in His presence with a" Well, done my good and faithful servant." Thank you, Judy for teaching me so much.

Tami, Jason, and families - I'm so sorry to hear of your moms passing. She was such a special lady and touched so many lives. I first knew your mom from middle school. She wasn't my teacher but wasnthe teacher of many of my friends and i distinctly remember how lucky you were if you got Mrs. Pratt. :) Many years after the middle school life your mom and dad entrusted the care of Scampers when they went away on many occasions. I always looked forward to caring for him and especially looked forward to the chats I would have with your mom before and after. She was truly one of a kind and made such a such an impact on all the lives she touched. My deepest sympathy and condolences to all of you.

Living across the street from Judy was the best time of my life. I could walk across the street any time and be welcome. She always had a positive attitude towards life. She gave more than 100 percent to everything she did. She loved teaching and even more she loved the students. I can remember the amount of time she spent in the summer getting ready for her new class. She painted furniture and decorated every corner so it would be perfect for the kids. I will always fondly remember the times we had together. She always had a smile for everyone even when she was suffering. My condolences to Tami and Jason and their families. Your mom was one of a kind. Heaven just received one of the best! Judy and Fred Ridenour

To the family of Judith Pratt: My condolances to you. I enjoyed being a collegue of Judy's at Novak. Judy was a professional educator who cared for her students and she was a delight to have taught with. May she live for an internity. God bless you and be with you during this diffucult time. Darrell Dicken Collegue Retired Elem. Band Director, Linn-Mar Schools

I was honored and privileged to meet Judy and Fran as a care and communion visitor in their home. The depth of their faith and love for Jesus and each other blessed and impacted my life in the best way possible. To God Be The Glory for the example she was for others.

Mrs Pratt was an amazing teacher, one that not only taught content, but taught a positive approach to life. Years after having our son, Joel, in class, she would ask about him. I credit Mrs Pratt for being a major part of our son's love of teaching. She taught so much more.

To Tammy & Jason and family. You Mom was so special and sweet. She made me feel welcome when my husband started with the Skogman company. Her skill and compassion for students was a gift that she possessed. Our daughter Tiffani loved her. We were so blessed to have her as a neighbor, friend and teacher in Linn Mar. A million stars will shine in heaven because of her gift she was on earth. Jan Siders

I was privileged to work with Judy for a number of years at Linn-Mar (Excelsior) Middle School. She was such a wonderful teacher and special person. I"m so sorry to hear of her passing. May your many memories of her comfort you in the coming days.

My deep condolences to the family of Mrs. Pratt. I have many fond memories of Judy....her charisma, her infectious smile, her awesome shoes....heaven has truly gained an angel.

Mrs. Pratt was my 5th grade reading teacher at the "old" Novak school. I struggled with reading in elementary school and she brought so much joy to the classroom and was a key teacher who I remember made a difference in my life. Then to my amazement many years later I knocked on her door as I ran for City Council and she not only remembered me but helped support my campaign. Both of my kids were blessed to have her as a substitute teacher at Bowman Woods. Tami your mom was such a light in this world to so many children and families, she will truly be missed.

Renee and I send our deepest sympathies to Tami and Jason and the Pratt Family. Judy and Fran lived across the street from us for a time and we consider both to have been good friends for a very long time. Judy was a wonderful mother and patient wife!! She is missed!!

To Judy's family, I am so sorry for your loss! I enjoyed knowing Judy as a friend and as a teacher. She excelled at both! I love they way she was able to really see her students, both as they were and as the best they could become. Judy was a gift and I treasure having known her!

We had the privilege of knowing and being friends with Judy and Fran for nine years before moving to Oregon in 1979. We shared many good times and some tears together. Judy was one of a kind and will be truly missed by everyone she touched. Our best to all of the family for your loss.

I am so sorry for your loss. I am now a teacher. Mrs. Pratt was always one of my favorite teachers, always had a smile on her face and loved her students! It is teachers like her that inspired me to teach. I hope I can make my kiddos feel as special as she always made us feel.

Mrs. Pratt, You were a positive influence during those crazy middle school years. Lucky to have had you for a teacher. Your dedication to kids and education was second to none. Rest In Peace friend.

Mrs. Pratt, you impacted more people than you will ever know. To be an amazing teacher you must be an amazing person. When you walked into a room the whole room lit up. Your smile was contagious. To the family, I am sorry for your loss. Your mother was one of kind and will be missed dearly.

Mrs. Pratt, You were a positive influence during those crazy middle school years. Lucky to have had you for a teacher. Your dedication to kids and education was second to none. Rest In Peace friend.

Mrs. Pratt was an amazing teacher. As a fifth grader who was not the best of students academically I did not do well in math. Midway through the year I was moved to her class from another teacher's classroom who was struggling with teaching me, and Mrs. Pratt had the new job of trying to get 12 year old me to care about long division. With much patience and time, I learned my math facts and passed. I wished I could say that I passed with straight A's but that would be untrue- and there was no lack of effort or perseverance from Mrs. Pratt, in fact it was quite the opposite. Twenty years later I myself have become a 5th grade teacher as well. There are many moments in my professional life I ask myself "if my teachers could only see me now." I know from example Mrs. Pratt walked that fine line for a teacher of being strict. but fun. It saddens me that the world has lost such an inspiring person. But it is encouraging that I was just one of many students whom she has taught, and in a way her memory and personality lives on through her family and the many students she has taught throughout the years.

I am deeply sorry for your loss. Mrs. Pratt was my 5th grade teacher and I still remember her laugh like it was yesterday. She was truly amazing at the craft of teaching, and you could always tell how deeply she cared for her students. She is reason I love both reading and math. She touched my life and I will carry her with me in my heart.

Judy was such a nice lady. I worked with her husband and lived in same neighborhood. She was always one of my daughter's favorite teachers. God bless you Judy.

We are deeply saddened by this loss. We send your family our love and we will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers. Lovingly, Mike, Carrie, Logan and Madelyn Jackson
