Berniece and Glen were charter members of Central church of Christ in Cedar Rapids, Berniece being the oldest living member of the church. She was a Sunday School teacher for 35 years and influenced hundreds of 5th and 6th graders. She was a godly woman whose faith defined and directed her life.

Berniece enjoyed being a member of Sweet Adelines, a St. Luke's volunteer, a supporter of her daughters in their activities, and celebrating and entertaining for all family birthdays and every holiday and many Sunday dinners with family and friends. She loved to sing, was known for her Scrabble expertise, and was always willing to play any games at all gatherings. She was an excellent seamstress - made all of her daughter's clothes. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Meth-Wick Community and Hospice Compassus - especially Alyssa, Jen, and Judy for the loving care they gave Mom.

Berniece's love and faith established a firm foundation for her family who will miss her greatly, as will her church family.
