Connie Lee Stewart, 70, of Cedar Rapids died peacefully Thursday November 12, 2015 at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha.
Memorial services at 11:00 AM on Monday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Inurnment in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include a son James, daughter Jennifer Ellis, her mother Margaret Schmidt, three grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and sisters Phyllis and Jacquelyn. She was preceded in death by her father, husband and brother.
Connie was born on March 9, 1945 in Charles City the daughter of Harlan and Margaret Wegner Schmidt. She married Richard A. Stewart on April 19, 1963 in Anamosa. Richard passed away in 2014.
Connie was a gifted seamstress and quilter. She loved antiquing, reading and watching her Cubs play baseball.
