I am so sorry to hear about Pat. My thoughts and prayers go out to Pat's entire family. I worked with Pat at Flowerama and also knew Pat through my father Bob who taught her at Jefferson HS and brother Mike through the Cedar Rapids School District. Pat was so kind and sweet - a wonderful person. She will be missed but memories will keep her close. Our deepest sympathy, The Allen family.

I knew Pat during my children's passage through Harding Middle school, and later as a colleague in the Future Cities Competition committee; Pat was a beautiful lady, great friend, a humongous help during our competition day. I will miss her. May she be at peace.

So sorry to hear of your mom's passing. She was my favorite teacher at Wilson. She always had a smile on her face and seemed to love teaching with a passion. I also enjoyed talking to her at Flowerama. She never forgot a face.

Brownie and I want to tell you how saddened we were to hear of your mom's passing. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. Words alone can not express our sympathy. The Brown's

Mrs. St. Germain was a true 'gem of a teacher'. I had her at Wilson in 7th grade. She was a true encourager to all, and not just the kids that were good, but to ALL. One thing I will always remember is , when I was in 7th grade, during Christmas break , her and her husband went to France. After words, she came back and showed us pictures of her travels. And the picture she seemed to really treasure the most? She saved that one for last. It was her and her husband standing in Paris underneath a street sign that read, "St. Germain Street". Mrs. St. Germain, you will be missed. God bless you for your time here on Earth. I'm glad I got to share just a little bit of time with you.

So sorry for your loss...Mrs. St. Germain was one of my favorite teachers at Wilson Jr. High. She believed in every student and let them know it. She was always happy and smiling...prayers to your family.

Was so sorry to hear of Mrs. St. Germain's passing. I just saw her at Toys R us. She was my 4th grade student teacher at Van Buren. I believe she taught Language Arts. She remembered me when I told her who I was . With deep sympathy , Karen(Goodwater) Kamberling

So sorry for your loss. She was one of the best teachers at Wilson Jr. High. She was also my swimming teacher at Bender. She will be missed by many. God bless.

Erin and Family, We are sorry to hear of the sudden passing of your mother-in-law. Just want you to know that our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Dana - We are deeply saddened by the news of your Mom’s passing. Jackie Kennedy once said, “If you bungle raising your children, I don’t think whatever else you do matters very much.” While we never had the pleasure of meeting your mom, we know she had to be an absolute, fantastic person. She raised such a wonderful, caring, well-rounded person that is always helping others. We know you will pass what she taught you on to Lou as well. Please know, our heartfelt condolences, thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. -- Laurel, Heather, Shelly and Rhonda

I'm so sorry for your loss. Mrs. St. Germain was one of my 7th grade teachers at Wilson. I always remember her smiling and having fun with our class. Once my kids started going thru Harding, it was fun to see her again after all these years and she was still as cheerful and smiling as ever. My sincerest sympathy to your family during this difficult time and great loss.

I am so sorry at Pat's passing away. It was a delight working with her as a fellow media specialist in the Cedar Rapids School System. My sincerest sympathy to her family at this sad time of loss.

Our three grown sons and I fondly remember your beautiful mother at Harding Middle School. She was a treasure. We are so very sorry. Rest assured you will be reunited with her again- forever, in Eternity. The Worley family

Oh how sad. Your mother was a favorite friend at Harding with a wonderfully kind heart, delightful sense of humor and quick wit. She was an all around grand person. I loved teaching with her. I'm so sorry you had to lose her so soon. My sincere sympathy. Roene Cammack

Sorry to hear of her passing. She was a fantastic teacher, having been in her class in 7th grade at Wilson. In our claymation move we made, our erupting volcano was named Mt. St. Germain. She had a positive impact on many young lives.

The things she did with my 7th grade LA class at Wilson! Live News Action; writing and producing stop action claymation movies; speeches -- and so much more. And she did it with her amazing grace and humor. Our imaginations soared with her guidance. She made a huge impact on me. And then I got lucky and she became my collegue at Harding----and I'd see her dressed in her witches outfit to go visit the 6th grade classrooms and think how lucky the newest batch of students were to get that same amazing teacher. Her teaching was amazing because of her personality - fun, positive, calm, thoughtful; and above all, Kind. She will be missed so incredibly much.

Pat was my student at Jefferson when I was Miss McConville...and we remained friends all the years both of us were teachers in the Cedar Rapids district. No one I have known is lovelier than Pat was, or a better teacher. She was so proud of her family. She awakened in Heaven with God and Dennis. Pat (McConville) Martin

So sorry to see this today in the paper. Mrs. St. Germain was my English teacher many years ago and we have been fortunate to reconnect in the more recent years; I was reconnected with Pat on the yearly "Shop Til You Drop" bus trip. She was also someone I looked forward to seeing and visiting with at Flowerama. In one of our many conversations I found out she went to school with my parents. Pat always had a smile on her face and was so proud of her kids and grandkids. My sympathy to all of you. She will be a "bright spot" I will miss!

To the family, So sorry to see that Pat has passed away. Pat was such a kind hearted woman. We always loved sharing stories about our pets together. You have our sympathy for your loss.

Matt and Dana - Your mother was one of the nicest people I have known. We worked together for several years, and she was special. Pat was always patient with students and staff, and she would go out of her way to help. You have my deepest sympathy and are in my thoughts and prayers. Randy Noecker Longville, MN

Matt & Dana, Our deepest sympathies to both of you and your family. Have many fond memories of living by you in Everlou Heights. It was so fun to watch you both grow up and remember the good times you and Anne had together. Always admired your mother. She was a very special woman. May all the wonderful memories of your mother give you comfort and peace. Rest in peace Pat and Dennis too. John & Delores Tibben
