Dave, on a trip to Iowa I thought of you and the supportive client that you and the Kirkwood HandiMart were when I sold ads for the college paper. I'm so sorry to hear of your loss...the apple didn't fall far from the tree!

Cheryl and family, I'm so sorry to hear of Bill's passing. You and Bill were always two of my favorites at the Village. He was a wonderful person and will be greatly missed. Prayers to you and your family during the holidays. May his beautiful spirit be with you at all times. Judi Buterbaugh

Cheryl, Steve and Dave, I extend my deepest sympathy to you and the rest of the Nordstrom family. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Bill for nearly 20 years. Bill was an honest and fair man and treated employees fairly. You could tell by the way he talked of Cheryl and his children how proud he was of his family. A truly GREAT man has left a lasting impression with me. -Lu Serbousek

Cheryl and Dave, Though I worked for Nordstrom Oil for only a few short years, Bill left me with a life long impression of a good and fair man that always treated those around him with respect. It was a joy to watch the way he looked at you Cheryl, with such pride when you would come into the office. I am so sorry for your tremendous loss. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. A great guy with a GREAT smile.

Cheryl - It is hard for me to fathom that you and I lost our best friends in the same year. I cannot help but smile at the many dinners we shared with Bill and Tom in Telluride and how much we use to laugh together. Of course, there was always Bill's harem; you and I along with Ann. I think we probably enjoyed every restaurant Telluride had to offer. I will be thinking of you and your family over the next week and coming holidays. Please know that if there is anything I can do, just ask. Cheryl Londen

To read of Bill's passing brought so many memories flooding back. He and his dad were very special people to my self and my husband, Kaye, for the over 40 years that we were Phillips 65 dealers. The Nordstrom Christmas parties were legend for all of us. May God bless you all and comfort you in his passing. Laura Keister

To Dave and families, I am saddened by your loss..especially after losing my Daddy too recently. He was a great man, mentor, father and grandfather. As stated he made a huge difference in our lives in Cedar Rapids. Peace be yours in God's name. Terrie Kohl

Dave and Steve, Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families following your loss. Paul & Margaret Staman

Cheryl and Family, I was so saddened to read about Bill's passing. We had so many fun times on the courts at your house and Bill was always so happy when all of were over at the house playing. My favorite memory is when you bought a new piece of furniture or something and we asked you if Bill liked the color, and you replied...no worries, Bill is colorblind. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Harriet Kriegsfeld--Phoenix

Cheryl & family: I am so sorry that words cannot express it. What a wonderful man & friend. I clearly remember driving to LaCrosse to learn how to ski & check out what a "C Store" was like. Plus all the ski trips we took together & had so much fun! Cheryl please call me if you have a minute. Physical problems will prevent me from attending the services for Bill, 319-210-7705. Again, I am very sorry...my prayers are with all of you...

I lost a truly good fun friend. Many, many fond memories of our tennis, trips to Arizona and our dinners together. I will call on your return to Arizona Cheryl. Rick
