Denny and Kenny, I just received word of your mothers passing when Karen called this afternoon. I wish I would have known sooner although Wyoming is a long way from Iowa. I have many fond memories of Aunt Vi and Uncle Harry and the many times we spent together. I also enjoyed the times with Elmer after Uncle Harry's passing. Time has a way of passing quickly and it is hard to believe how long it has been since we spent time together. Since Mom and Dad are gone and much of Ruth's family also, we don't seem to make it to Iowa often. Please know that you have our deepest sympathy and you are in our thoughts and prayers. Hope to see both of you sometime soon. Ron and Ruth Manley

Denny and Kenny and families, Chuck and I have much love for Aunt Vi and I remember when she came into the Manley family. A classmate of mine from Springville called me yesterday and knew if I knew she had passed. We didn't know and if we would have would have arranged to be at her service. I did visit her at the Villages one time I was in Cedar Rapids, but unfortunately since 2005 I have not spent time in the area. I think of her and Uncle Harry and the day they were married when we pass the Aledo exit when we travel to Todd or Jyl's. She and Chuck had a good time with her psychology classes, as he hated psychology in college. When he started teaching in Panora he had to ask her for help, as he had to teach psychology for the first year we were here. It is sad when families don't stay in touch when things change in our lives. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Chuck and Karen Hawley

My mother, Martha Davis Bird, was Violet's cousin. We all attended the Peterson Reunions together years ago. These past years I only saw Violet a few times, but always enjoyed those times. I am keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.

We have conducted church services at Village Ridge for several years. Violet was a regular at our services. She was a lady who loved the Lord and loved others. We will miss her.

Denny - Just a quick note to let you know we are thinking of you and your family during this difficult time. Although I didn't know Vi as well as the folks did, she was a nice person and good for your dad. I don't know if you remember me - Clarence and Betty Newman were my parents. Your dad was one of their best friends. Take care - Marian Newman Parsons
