Sue, Pam, and Tom it is with a heavy heart that I have learned of your mothers passing. I met her in EGA and we became good friends. My husband traveled a lot with his job at Rockwell, so your mother and I loved going to the movies together and then out to dinner. I moved to CA in 1999 and I can remember crying at my going away party and telling your mother how much I was going to miss her. Whenever I got back to Cedar Rapids for visits I looked forward to seeing her. I last saw her in her apartment in her assisted living home. She thanked me for my continuing friendship with her but, I will always be thankful for her special friendship with me. I now live in AZ and my mother is is assisted living here in town with dementia at age 90. I know how hard these last years must have been for you all. Candy Hitchcock December 4, 2014

Pam, Susan, & Tom and families - you can be so proud of your mom. She really was an asset to Terrace Hill Drive. She helped start the craft club, played a lot of bridge with us, and was fun to be around. I have missed seeing her in the last few years because of health problems of my own but I have thought of her often. I join in celebrating her life. She was a good friend. Mary Jane Jacobson

Charlotte was a true and sincere friend. I knew her through the embroidery guild, have really missed her and am sort to learn of her passing.

I met Charlotte at couples bridge many, many years ago and later at Ladies Bridge. I remember her "visiting cat" at Lexington Green. What a special woman she was. She will be dearly missed. My prayers and sympathy.

Pam, Sue and Tom, I was saddened to see the passing of your Mom Charlotte. This is Belinda Loux and I am Colleen Hoffa's daughter. Our Mom's were the best of friends for many years. Somehow I think they met through Welcome Wagon shortly after they both moved to Cedar Rapids and were friends ever since. They were in bridge club, book club and sewing guild together. I think it was the same bridge club for over 35 years. They seemed to have such fun together and only have fond memories of her. Sending you my thoughts and condolences. Belinda Loux

I got to know Charlotte through Vern Kriz and our "Garbage" group. We would get together evey month for lunch and your mom fit right in wih her smile and laughter. I always enjoyed being with her, she was a neat lady. With caring thoughts and prayers. Mardell Tinkey

Words cannot express my sadness at hearing of your Mothers passing. She was a true lady, friend, mentor and loyal member of EGA. It is with this group I met your Mother. I cherish our times together through needlework and the friendship we developed as I helped her with her condo at Lexington. She was such a giving person with her time to others. A true angel on earth. God bless you and your families during this sad time. Sorry I can not attend as I live in Florida. My thoughts and prayers will be with you. Jan Siders
