Arlaine Denise (Scheiner) Brinkmann, 60, passed away on November 11, 2014 from a brief illness at her residence in Cloudcroft, New Mexico. She was born on December 17, 1953 in Columbia, Missouri to Armond and Elaine (Blaine) Scheiner. Arlaine was married to Dr. Jonathan Brinkmann on December 18, 1976 at Marion Christian Church. Arlaine was a lifelong, Legacy, member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority, a loving wife and mother, and was very active within her church.

Survivors include her husband Jonathan Brinkmann of the family home; a brother, Paul (Judi) Scheiner of Vinton, IA; two sons, Gary (Kelly) Brinkmann and Chris Brinkmann, all of Cedar Rapids, IA; two daughters, Marisa (Jesse) DeHond of Rochester, NY and Courtney (Corey) Trimble of Cedar Rapids, IA; twelve grandchildren and numerous cousins and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter, Bailey Anne Brinkmann.

Arlaine grew up in Moberly, Missouri, and relocated to Marion Iowa with her family at a young age. She attended Linn-Mar Schools, and graduated from Mount Alverno Catholic Academy's final class in 1971. Arlaine returned to college and earned her RN-BSN degree from the University of Virginia and her nursing license in 1993. Arlaine began working for St. Lukes outpatient clinics and later for St. Lukes hospitals orthopedic unit in 1999.

Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 3-5 pm, on Sunday, November 16, 2014 with a sharing of memories beginning at 3 PM. A viewing will be held at 1 PM on Monday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home followed by the graveside service.
